Follow

If you are using Google Classroom, you can now incorporate content from World News Digest into your Classroom courses with the click of a button. Sharing to Google Classroom is offered as a free service.

To share content through Google Classroom, click on the Share page tool on a record detail page and then click the Social link as shown below.

Click on the Google Classroom button to add this record.  You must have a Google Classroom account to use this service.

If you are not already logged into Google, you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account.  Once you have successfully signed in, you will be presented with a drop down menu to Choose a class. After selecting your desired class, click the Go button.

Choose Class

Next you will be presented with a Choose action drop down menu.  This menu allows you to select how you want to share your chosen content.

Make your selection and click the Go button to proceed.

Choose Action

Your three choices of action are:

  • Create assignment
  • Ask question
  • Make an announcement

For the Create assignment and Ask question options, Google Classroom automatically pulls in the title of the content you are embedding into an editable text field and creates a link. For the Make an announcement option, a link is created.  For all three actions, Google Classroom will present you with the same thumbnail of the login page.  As long as you are logged in to World News Digest, this link will still redirect you to the selected title.

Clicking the blue button will post the record to your class.  You will be taken to a confirmation page with a View button. Click the View button to view your course.

The most recent shared action will appear at the top of your course.
